Sebastian Trainer from Wildsteig and Sebastian Moser from Steingaden completed their carpentry training particularly successfully and won the Bavarian and German championships.
In addition to talent, this was also ensured by the constant support of trainer Florian Klein.
Steingaden - "That's something very special, we're really very proud": This is how master carpenter Florian Klein from Steingaden describes the outstanding achievements of his former trainees Sebastian Trainer and Sebastian Moser: One became a Bavarian master, the other a German master of the carpentry trade.
After successfully completing his training in July of this year, Moser is now working as a journeyman at the Klein carpentry workshop, while the trainer has switched to the Sieber wood factory in Prem.
"We have had a few talented apprentices in the past, but nobody has ever been as successful as these two," says Klein.
But of course, in addition to the talent of the young carpenters, the corresponding support of the training company also plays a decisive role in the success.
Right from the start, Klein always let her do a lot herself, including quite a bit more demanding tasks than some other trainees are given.
“Working with wood is simply fun.
In the beginning you only have a couple of boards, in the end it becomes a beautiful piece of furniture,” is how Sebastian Trainer describes the fascination of his job.
Coach and Moser prevail at the championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
In October of this year, they were able to prove how much coach and Moser have grown with their tasks: The Bavarian championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was coming up and both carpenters were represented, coach as the best in the Upper Bavarian Chamber and Moser as the best in the Swabian Chamber.
The two young carpenters are at work with fun and passion, as can be clearly seen in the picture.

The challenge for the seven participants from all Bavarian administrative districts was to produce a cloakroom bench out of ash wood in a period of seven hours.
No problem for the Wildsteiger and the Steingadener, so that the six-strong jury came to a clear conclusion: Sebastian Trainer became Bavarian champion, Sebastian Moser took second place.
Speed, spatial imagination, precision and perfection were required
The two 20-year-olds thus automatically qualified for the German championship at the beginning of November in Bad Zwischenahn, Lower Saxony.
Here it was about asserting oneself among the 17 state winners from all corners of the Federal Republic.
So it goes without saying that the level of difficulty is not exactly low: the young carpenters had to make a sideboard with 20 wooden joints.

In addition to speed, spatial imagination and precision, perfect craftsmanship was also necessary in order to score points in the end.
After 19 hours of work, it was clear who could best combine all these points: It was Sebastian Moser, who can now rightfully call himself the “German master carpenter”.
Trainer Florian Klein regrets that many companies no longer train
But that's not all, Moser's winning streak went even further: At the end of November he also won "Die Gute Form", the design competition of the Bavarian carpenters' guild.

Great achievements, for which, of course, trainer Florian Klein can pat himself on the back.
"Unfortunately, no one thanks the training company at these championships," regrets Klein.
It is precisely the companies that invest time and money in the carpenters of tomorrow.
"Most of the time it's not economical," says Klein, so it's hardly surprising that only around 20 percent of Bavarian carpentry companies now offer training at all: "Unfortunately, there are many young people in the carpentry trade today who would like to learn the trade, but simply none find a training company.”
