Miesbach – At the end of Miesbach there was an accident when turning on Tuesday.

One of the drivers fled and the police are looking for him.

On Tuesday (December 20) there was an accident shortly after 8 a.m. in Miesbach, followed by an escape.

As reported by the Miesbach police, a Waakirchner was driving his BMW on state road 2073 in the direction of Weyarn.

He turned left at the junction with Windfeld.

"Immediately after turning, he had to brake because a car driver in front of him slowed down," police said.

A silver car, probably a VW Passat, was coming towards him from the direction of Windfeld.

The driver wanted to turn left towards Weyarn.

"Since the Waakirchner was not yet able to clear the junction completely, the driver of the silver-colored vehicle drove him into the left rear of the vehicle with his left vehicle front," says the police report.

"Then the person who caused the accident continued his journey in the direction of Weyarn."

The Waakirchner turned around and wanted to follow the person who caused the accident.

According to the report, however, he could no longer be found.

Damage to the rear left bumper of the BMW was around 3,000 euros.

"The vehicle that fled the accident is likely to have significant damage on the front left with red paint abrasion," explains the police.

They are looking for witnesses who can provide information about who caused the accident.

Please report to the Miesbach Police Inspectorate on 08025/2990.
