Miesbach - Miesbach's culture boss presented the first program of 2023 to the city's culture and tourism committee.
"Art is beautiful, but it takes a lot of work," said Karl Valentin.
Isabella Krobisch knows only too well that the same applies to culture.
The head of the Miesbach cultural office has once again put together a program "at its best" for the first quarter of 2023, which she recently presented at the meeting of the municipal culture and tourism committee.
With 23 selected events from the beginning of January to the end of March 2023, the Waitzinger Keller is once again offering a sophisticated mix that is sure to have something for young and old: exciting, interesting, funny, beautiful, instructive and many productions will find an enthusiastic audience - for example the premiere of the Bedrich Smetana opera "The Bartered Bride" (Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12) and concerts ranging from musicals to modern homeland ("De Soizbreznsisters" with Steffi Baier and Veronika Hagn-Roth).
The exhibition "Haberfeldtrieb" is also eagerly awaited, which from March 27th to April 28th questions the facts and myths of the legendary folk custom.
Before the program presentation, Krobisch looked back at the Corona period.
While there were repeated restrictions and partial closure of the house up to April 2022, the head of the cultural center and her team used the forced breaks, Krobisch reported to the committee: New formats such as the "Hinterbankler Festival" were generated - events that were completely new Creating cultural experiences and opening up a new audience.
Since the Waitzinger Keller celebrated its 25th anniversary this summer, the Waitzinger Keller team improved the attractiveness and functionality of the house with a lot of commitment and a small budget.
An investment in the future that is already paying off, as the new lighting control room and the improved sound quality offer all organizers a noticeable plus in terms of quality and possibilities.
With the current issue of "Schöne Zeiten", the newly designed accommodation directory and the information on the Miesbach-Hausham running park under the motto "Birds fly, fish swims, people run", the cultural office demonstrated its excellent networking with the neighboring communities.
The Miesbach Cultural Office was also present at the opening of the Christian Schad Museum in Aschaffenburg.
The museum, which is dedicated to the life and work of the exceptional Miesbach artist, was inaugurated in the presence of a Miesbach delegation, as city archivist Barbara Wank reported in her review.
