In celebration of Christmas and New Year's Eve, the Fada Association for Community Development, in cooperation with the Friends of Music Association, held a concert in Hanano Street, downtown Tartous.
At the celebration, about 100 members of the young and old Orjwan Choir performed Christmas songs in nine international languages.
Bisher Issa, director and founder of the Arjwan Choir and the Association of Friends of Music in Tartous, said in a statement to SANA: The concert aims to spread the atmosphere of joy and happiness in the streets of the city as part of a project launched by the Association of Friends of Music about five years ago, entitled Music on the Road, which he considered a cultural, humane and social project, so that music is for everyone without limits or restrictions.
And the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fada Association, Kinan Suleiman, stated that based on the societal role of the association and its belief in the role of music as a carrier of messages of love and peace, the association participates in this ceremony, whose importance comes from its presence in the street among people directly.
A number of citizens attending the ceremony considered that it depicts joy, smiles, and optimism for a better tomorrow for peace in Syria, the cradle of civilizations and the source of art and music, especially since it comes on the occasion of the birth of the Messenger of love and peace, so that the Syrian message to the whole world, from time immemorial until now, remains a message of art, intimacy, and peace.
