On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the victory of Aleppo, a concert entitled Aleppo of Love was held this evening on the stage of Yasayan Al Sharq School in the city.
St. Teresa's choir and the Saba Orchestra, led by musician Shadi Najjar, presented a collection of musical compositions and patriotic songs, including muwashshahat, "I will pass through your eyes Aleppo," "The Guardian of Jerusalem," and "Boulou Saghir Baladi."
The head of the Aleppo Governorate Council, Muhammad Hijazi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the people of the city of Aleppo, with all its sects, are celebrating today the sixth anniversary of their city's victory over terrorism, and today's ceremony is an expression of joy, which was embodied through artistic concerts that sing of the city of Aleppo, which will remain immortal throughout history.
The Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo, Archbishop George Masri, stated that celebrating the anniversary of Aleppo's victory and the birth of Christ by holding a musical concert is an affirmation of the people's love for their city and their steadfastness in the face of terrorism.
The head of the Aleppo City Council, Dr. Maad Medelji, indicated that the people of the city of Aleppo were able to stand up to terrorism, and today they are participating in the sixth anniversary of their city's victory and working to rebuild it and restore its glory again.
Musician Shadi Najjar expressed his happiness at participating in the commemoration of the victory of Aleppo, which coincided with Christmas, by presenting a group of choral and lyrical national music pieces, pointing out that music is an affirmation of love and adoration for the city.
The Director of Tourism, Eng. Naila Shahoud, stated that today's ceremony is an affirmation that the joys of Aleppo are characterized by a unique and distinctive character, especially that this memory is a special joy in the hearts of the people of the city of Aleppo.
