The former deputy mayor and timber entrepreneur Hans Seemüller died at the age of 63.

His companions like to remember the "still pole".

Fischbachau

– Hans Seemüller enriched the municipal council in Fischbachau for around 15 years, the Independent Free Voters’ Association (FWG) for over 20 years and his family and those around him for much longer.

They all have to do without Hans Seemüller now.

He died at the age of 63 after a long illness.

His companions agree that the gap left behind cannot be filled.

In his mind, however, he remains with the best memories.

Hans Kirchberger, chairman of the FWG, likes to think back to the "calm, thoughtful way".

Seemüller was well received everywhere, was present and, with his well-considered nature, strengthened what was most important to him in municipal politics: "He always tried to represent the interests of all citizens - across the board."

"Down-to-earth, calming influence": Companions like to remember Seemüller

The independence of the FWG was particularly important to him.

"Hans wanted to get the best out of down-to-earth communication with good communication," says Kirchberger.

In the parliamentary group, for which Seemüller worked as spokesman until his illness last year, he took on a respected role, most recently even as second mayor of Fischbachau.

Johann Neundlinger also reports of Seemüller as a "calming pole".

The managing director in the town hall says: "He was a very pleasant person who always had a balancing effect." Electoral officer close to the side.

"He really got to grips with the community finances and often visited me in the town hall."

Of course, the entrepreneur has also tackled other areas.

After graduating from school in Miesbach, studying in Rosenheim and working in a sawmill, Seemüller quickly became self-employed.

Seemüller had completely arrived in the timber and construction element trade in Birkenstein, both professionally and privately.

Even before starting a family and getting married, Seemüller lived in the district – he grew up on the Parsbergerhöhe.

Seemüller devoted his free time to his environment.

Burial in Fischbachau

Now that the father of the family let go a week and a half ago, relatives and companions will say goodbye on Thursday, December 22 at 6:30 p.m. with a rosary.

The following day the soul service with urn burial takes place at 9.30 a.m. in the Fischbachau parish church.

Since May, Seemüller's place on the municipal council has been occupied by Klaus Beck, who also valued his predecessor as a well-considered discussion partner.

Beck had emphasized at the start: "I would have preferred it if Hans could have continued."
