The Hohenlinden footballers need more playing and training space.

The Council has now cleared the way in terms of planning.

Hohenlinden –

A change to the land use plan recently decided by the Hohenlinden Council is currently being examined by the Ebersberg District Office.

If there is soon to be the place that everyone is expecting, a development plan (the one with the serial number 30) can automatically come into force, which deals with the expansion of the Hohenlinden sports area.

The plenum formally adopted this as a statute in its last meeting of the year, last Monday.

And thus took the formal last step in a long, sometimes arduous process.

In the last round, the municipal council again dealt with some objections from so-called public bodies.

Specifically, comments from the district office from three departments, the water management office, the state building authority, Telekom and the Munich public utility company.

Questions about noise and nature protection as well as drainage (it should be done in a similar way to the technically neighboring Abtwiese) were discussed along the way.

As a precaution, the Munich public utility company had spoken out because a high-pressure gas pipeline operated by them runs in the immediate vicinity of the expansion site.

In the end, however, the ladies and gentlemen of the elected representatives unanimously decided to finally approve the development plan.

An arduous path that involved a lot of fighting

The procedure was laborious because the authorities involved did not come to a solution for months;

especially in the question of how a sensible speed funnel could be organized on the neighboring state road and where exactly the place-name sign would have to be moved in the future.

The question of where exactly the new entrance to the sports grounds should be located also caused conflict for a long time, Mayor Ludwig Maurer drew a first balance in the plenary session.

According to reports, said driveway will now be moved significantly further "outside".

Literally, Maurer said: "We fought for a long time".

He thanked District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß for his mediation efforts.

What happens now?

The detailed planning will be done during a non-public meeting of the municipal council, which is to take place on Monday, January 16, it said.

There the further procedure will be discussed in detail.

First, the parking lot and the new, then third sports field would be built - and, with a time lag, then a thorough renovation of the functional rooms in the sports center would take place, Maurer hinted.

This results in a certain distribution of the financial burden for the political municipality.

Maurer also referred to upcoming talks between SV Hohenlinden and the sports associations on Monday about any grants.

It continues with a special session on January 16th

By the way: It is still unclear whether there will be another grass pitch or artificial turf pitch in the future, even after the current council decision.

Theo Falterer, SVH official and second mayor, told EZ that an artificial turf field had a clear preference within the club.

The club needs additional game and training capacities, if only because of the strong demand in the football sector.

In particular those that make it possible to use the sports field even in the winter months.
