Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday denounced a "
very negative measure
" on the part of Sweden after the refusal of its Supreme Court to extradite journalist Bülent Kenes, personally requested by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“
The rejection of our extradition request for Bülent Kenes is a very negative step.
Participants in the putsch must be sent back to Turkey
,” the minister said in reference to the July 2016 coup attempt.
