The branch of the Plastic Artists Union in Lattakia, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture, revived the annual exhibition of plastic artists, with the participation of 50 male and female artists, in the Al-Basil Exhibition Hall, embodying 45 paintings and 15 sculptural works.

The exhibition featured works of art that were distinguished and sparkled by oil, watercolor, acrylic and pastel works, in addition to sculpture using stone, wood and artificial stone materials in different styles and with the participation of various art schools.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the head of the Plastic Artists Union branch in Lattakia, Farid Raslan, explained that this exhibition includes a group of young plastic artists, in addition to veteran artists, and this constitutes an incentive for young artists to work and give through their participation, noting the diversity and renewal, starting from realistic academic methods and ending with modern methods. Abstract, surrealism and other schools of art.

Lina Deeb, Vice President of the Union of Plastic Artists in Syria, indicated that this annual exhibition is held in all governorates for each artist to present his artistic experience. Her participation came with a painting in which the tree was embodied in a simplistic and expressive manner.

The artist and plastic researcher, in charge of the Central Exhibitions and Galleries Office, Hussein Saqour, stated that the high demand for participation in exhibitions indicates the progress and development of the plastic movement and Syrian plastic art, in addition to the development of artistic experiences, indicating that his artistic participation came through an abstract expressionist painting with special formations through the hierarchy of colors and the prayers he performs. The artist and his relationship to the painting through its rituals and movements are in a special state of art, embodying fitness and contemplation that reach the stage of artistic maturity.

And the plastic artist Smoqan, through the portrait painting “You and I”, embodied the state of love between a man and a woman, as the blue alphabet, which he embodies in most of his works, is not absent, considering that the blue color is the most important among the colors, stressing the mythological and poetic aspect of his paintings, such as his portrayal of the epic of Gilgamesh with inspiration and symbolism, so the artist He often does not like direct subtraction.

The plastic artist Muhannad Aladdin considered that the exhibition this year simulates reality through color and mass, considering his sculptural work, which was titled "Naked Cry", outside the framework of the ordinary, and his work consisting of olive wood, which he embodied with expressive realism and through a special intimacy and specificity of dealing with the mass in a permanent and common way. Between the artist and the intimacy of the olive tree.

The plastic artist Nujoud Saeed, through her oil work, mixed the realistic and expressive school to embody the state of hope and optimism experienced by women through her bright colors and an attempt to get out of the dark frame to reflect hope and joy in a better tomorrow through mixing colors, feathers and printing technology.
