Maya Ruiz, the eldest daughter of the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, who is present in a large number of his paintings, died today.
And Agence France-Presse quoted the family as saying in a statement: “Maya Ruiz Picasso passed away today at the age of 87, without giving any additional clarifications.”
Maria de la Concepcion, nicknamed Maya, was born on September 5, 1935, and is the first daughter of Pablo Picasso.
It is noteworthy that at the end of September 2021, the Picasso Museum in Paris, the institution that houses the world's largest collection of Pablo Picasso, received eight works that had not been shown before, given by Maya to France.
