The conquests of the Russian military in the now almost 10-month war in Ukraine are manageable.
It was probably the FSB who pushed for the timing of the invasion.

The pretexts for the war have changed again and again in recent months, Putin had to call for partial mobilization and the Russian troops can't exactly show much for the effort they put in.
Now Vadym Skibitsky, the deputy head of the Ukrainian military intelligence service HUR, names the Kremlin's alleged mistake, which was committed even before the start of the war.

Bild Zeitung : "According to our information, the attack operation was postponed three times, most recently in mid-February." Vladimir Putin repeatedly consulted with his chief of staff Gerassimov and Defense Minister Shoigu.
It was the FSB that pushed for the attack on Ukraine in the Kremlin.
They thought they were sufficiently informed, says Skibitsky: "They had invested enormous resources and they urged Gerassimov to attack."
This was Russia's big mistake.
Gerassimov gave in and a Russian army unprepared for the war in Ukraine invaded his neighboring country.
As a result, "all their first targets failed, they could not enclose Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv could not conquer."
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokeswoman Zakharova claims the West is like George Orwell's 1984 dystopia.

In addition, Skibitsky talks about the current stage of the war and Russia's actions: "The attacks against our energy infrastructure are taking place all over the country." of the local people in such a way that their resistance breaks.
Russia is unable to defeat the Ukrainian military, "that's why they are trying to weaken the resistance of the population," says Skibitsky.
This tactic by Russia is reflected, for example, in drone strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, such as those that took place in Kyiv on Monday (December 19).
