Today, in Al-Hasakah Governorate, an oral vaccination campaign against cholera began in all areas of the governorate, which will last for ten days.
And Dr. Issa Khalaf, Director of Al-Hasakah Health, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the vaccine will be administered to children aged one year and over, in the targeted area, “the city of Al-Hasakah, Tell Brak, and the Al-Hawl and Al-Aresha camps,” through 364 participants in the campaign distributed in 8 centers and 57 mobile teams.
It is scheduled, according to Khalaf, to target 395,423 people in the campaign within the governorate, calling on the people to review the health centers and cooperate with the mobile teams to receive the vaccine to protect them and prevent them from contracting diseases.
Khalaf explained that the campaign is being implemented in cooperation between the Health Directorate, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), pointing out that the Health Directorate has completed all necessary procedures to reach the target group in all regions.
