The winner of this competition will be invited to perform at La Cigale, alongside comedian Redouane Bougheraba, during a show that will be broadcast live on the application.

“Your biggest dream is to make thousands of people laugh?”,

can we read on the TikTok website.

Since December 15, the platform has launched its “Comedy Club”, a stand-up competition for its community.

The event, sponsored by comedian Redouane Begheraba, promises to bring out a handful of winners, who will be invited to perform on the stage of La Cigale on February 8, 2023.

To participate, the "tiktokeurs" will be able, for three weeks, to publish humorous pastilles on the social network - a sketch, a performance, a monologue, the format does not matter - for a few minutes in front of the camera.

On January 8, five of them will be selected to perform on stage.

“Meet a new audience”

With this competition, the Chinese social network hopes to unearth the artists of tomorrow and allow them to express

“their creativity and meet a new audience”

This project is a continuation of what already exists on the platform, where many humorous videos are posted every day by users.

One of the most followed accounts in TikTok history is that of young Italian Khaby Lame, who came out of anonymity thanks to humorous videos.

To participate, Internet users can post their video on TikTok, referenced under the hashtag #TikTokComedyClub.

Five of them will be selected, and users will then be asked to vote for their favorite video.

The winner will be able to take the stage alongside comedian Redouane Bougheraba, who has nearly a million subscribers on the platform.
