Traffic chaos in the capital: 

a pothole opened today (Tuesday) on the road in the sewer line in the east of the city, at the same time there was a malfunction in the traffic lights in the north of the city.

As mentioned, a hole was opened in the road in a sewer line on Sultan Suleiman Street in East Jerusalem.

Due to the safety hazard, police forces that arrived at the scene cordoned off the pit and closed the axis to vehicle traffic in both directions, until the hazard is dealt with by professionals who were invited to the scene and direct drivers to alternative routes.

As a result of the hazard, temporary changes will also be applied to the movement of public transport to the area and towards the Western Wall.

In the meantime, following a traffic light malfunction in northern Jerusalem in the last hour, police officers and traffic inspectors are working in the area to guide and regulate traffic until the malfunction is resolved.

The police addressed the public and said that "due to the expected traffic congestion at these points, the driving public is asked to use alternative routes, use the navigation apps, be patient and obey the instructions of the police officers and inspectors deployed in the area."
