In Munich, the smoothness of a tram near the Giesinger train station caused problems.
The train came off the track, and there were delays during rush-hour traffic.
Munich - After the fantastic winter weather over the weekend on Monday morning, December 18, a tram in Munich left the tracks due to slippery roads.
According to the fire brigade, the accident happened around 6.35 a.m. at the intersection of Chiemgaustrasse and Schwanseestrasse.

Munich: weather chaos in rush hour - tram comes off the tracks
The tram was a workshop trip.
Units of the fire brigade were alerted to support the Munich transport company.
With muscle power, the winch of a rescue vehicle and other technical equipment, the tram was pulled back onto the track after two hours.
The tram is now being checked for possible damage in the depot. The salvage work resulted in impairments in the morning rush hour.
In the ZDF "Heute Journal" there was a dramatic weather appeal given the danger of ice.
