Latakia - SANA
The Rimal Dance Theater Company presented this evening at the Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture in Lattakia its musical and dance show entitled “Land of the Sun”, through which it embodied the civilization of Ugarit, the home of the first alphabet and musical notes, its departure to the world and the great impact it had on human civilization.
The show, which comes in cooperation with the Directorates of Theatres, Music and Culture of Latakia and the National Theater in Lattakia, includes ten dance paintings, which embodied the different colors of Syrian folklore with paintings bearing different titles, including “The Traveling, the Orient, Morocco, Dalouna, Al-Fassah, Al-Muwashah, and Jafla.”
The director of the show and the director of the troupe, Ghida Muhammad, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the show, which is presented for the first time and includes more than forty male and female dancers, reviews some of the greatness of the Ugarit civilization and its spread to all parts of the world and the great influence it left on human civilization. It also highlights the folklore and heritage richness of the various provinces, including It confirms the importance of our country, the land of the sun and the cradle of civilizations.
The Rimal Dance Theater Troupe, which was founded in 2007 and presented its first artistic work in 2008, includes male and female dancers of all ages, and it has many participations in cultural events inside and outside Syria.
