In celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, Al-Basil School for Outstanding Students II in Homs held a cultural initiative that included presenting a diverse musical segment and a theatrical show entitled “Bird of Nostalgia”.
The Director of Education, Walid Marei, pointed out to SANA reporter the importance of celebrating the Arabic language, which is identity, history and civilization over time, as it is rich in the production of a lot of knowledge that the world witnessed, pointing to the positive role achieved by the initiatives implemented by school units in order to promote and inculcate a love for the Arabic language. in the hearts of students and pupils.
Zuhour Abdel Rahman, the organizer of the initiative and the teacher of the Arabic language at the High School of Outstanding Students, indicated the need to celebrate with the students in our Arabic language, its status and authenticity, to inculcate in their minds and souls the love and importance of their language and stick to it, indicating that she drafted the text of this presentation from the school curriculum for third secondary students from the axis of alienation and alienation with some additions. Which is suitable for presentation, especially since the school theater has a role in communicating ideas to students in an easy and fun way.
The director of the work, Sahab Jahjah, said: The show talked about three writers who left their homelands and immigrated and wrote poems of longing and nostalgia for their country. She added: 13 male and female students from the Second School of Excellence participated in the performance, in addition to 20 male and female students in the musical section.
