Yesterday, the Daraa Fire Brigade put out seven fires that broke out in different locations in the cities of Daraa, Azraa, Al-Sanamayn, and the town of Kharab Al-Shahem.
The commander of the fire brigade, Colonel Muhammad al-Mahamid, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the fires affected forest trees in the city’s al-Faluji and al-Nitaqain schools, olive trees in the town of Kharab al-Shahm, and palm trees in the city of al-Sanamayn, indicating that the firefighters put out two fires in a basement in the city of Izra, as well as wheels and cardboard at the entrance to Daraa camp. In addition to an electrical fire in Al-Sahari neighborhood in Daraa city.
He added: The speed of response contributed to extinguishing the fires before they spread and expanded towards public and private property, indicating that the damage was limited to material.
The fire brigade commander called on the citizens to exercise caution and report the fires as quickly as required on the toll-free number 113.
