Demanded for life in the double murder trial in Fischerhude

Because of the double murder in Fischerhude at the end of December 2021, the Verden public prosecutor's office has demanded life imprisonment for the 65-year-old accused.
Public prosecutor Annette Marquardt also pleaded for life in a case of attempted murder on Wednesday at the Verden district court.
"Overall, the penalty to be imposed is life imprisonment," she said.

The alleged perpetrator shot a 73-year-old woman and her 56-year-old son in the artists' village near Bremen.
A 53-year-old woman who happened to be at the scene of the crime survived with serious injuries, having been shot through the head.
The prosecutor cited revenge as the motive in her almost three-hour plea.
The financially unsuccessful horse breeder wanted to harm his friend and business partner, even if he and his family had supported him for a long time.
The dead are this friend's mother and brother.
The defense was scheduled to plead again Tuesday afternoon.
The verdict is expected for December 28th.
