Hit star Ireen Sheer on "Bares for Rares", but nobody recognizes her

Ireen Sheer wants to sell a centerpiece on the ZDF junk show.

But none of the traders seems to know which of them is standing there.

Engelskirchen/North Rhine-Westphalia - At "Bares für Rares" supposed dust collectors get a second chance and are usually sold to one of the antique dealers for a lot of money.

From time to time, German celebrities also drop by the moderator Horst Lichter, and so Schlager star Ireen Sheer was a guest at Schloss Ehreshoven on Tuesday evening (November 20th, 2022).

But it seems that the "Bares for Rares" dealers are not hit fans and do not recognize them.

Horst Lichter is over the moon when Ireen Sheer stands next to him at the appraisal desk.

"I can't even put it into words.

It's a huge honor for me that you're here," enthuses the "Bares for Rares" moderator.

But Ireen Sheer isn't just on "Bares for Rares" to get compliments.

The pop singer also brought an old piece of jewelry with her: an Art Nouveau centerpiece from 1910.

Estimated value: 600 euros.

Only Wolfgang Pauritsch seems to know that there is one of the biggest German hit stars of all time

Record deal at "Bares for Rares": art treasure auctioned for 42,000 euros

The most expensive piece so far at "Bares for Rares" was a pontifical pectoral cross, in which even splinters from the cross of Jesus are said to be stuck.

"Bares for Rares" expert Dr.

Heide Rezepa-Zabel estimated the value of the noble cross at an incredible 60,000 to 80,000 euros.

It was eventually sold for 42,000 euros.

But first there is an offer, after all Ireen Sheer wants to donate the money she gets for the centerpiece to a good cause.

The bids start at 220 euros.

At 1,300 euros, the bids falter.

Daniel Meyer becomes unsure: "The piece may be called up for 800 euros at a good antiques dealer.

We're already over that."

"But I'm a fan of yours, that's different," admits Wolfang Pauritsch.

The "Bares for Rares" dealer and Schlager fan is then also awarded the contract and can go home with Ireen Sheer's personal item.

Speaking of Ireen Sheer: Already in November 2021 she announced her career.

Now, a year later, the time has come.

Ireen Sheer's appearance at the "Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights" was her last TV appearance as a pop singer.

That makes even a real professional wistful.

With Florian Silbereisen she suddenly became emotional.
