The project:

Penthouse apartment in Ramat Hasharon

Area:

260 square meters of built area + 240 square meters of balconies

Residents:

a couple + 3

Planning and design:

Tzvia Kazioff

We all have the same ambition: to return at the end of another day full of challenges and tasks to a home that exactly meets our needs and loves , where we can shed all the worries of the day in one moment, enter a mode of relaxation and enjoy quality family time.

This is the daily routine of a family of 5 for whom Zvia Kazioff designed a dreamy, happy and colorful penthouse apartment, rich in textures and quality art.

"The penthouse is located on the ninth floor of a well-maintained and pleasant building in Ramat Hasharon and spans an entire floor, so it enjoys a spectacular 360-degree view in 4 air directions," Kazioff says.

"The tenants are a couple in their 40s, die-hard color lovers, they have 3 young daughters and 2 cats. The couple aspired to a functional, inclusive, pleasant and experiential home, and for our part, we made sure to produce all of this for them while taking advantage of and emphasizing the unique position of the property and the dimensions of the different spaces".

Both in daylight and out of the water there are many additional pleasures to take advantage of in this roof.

The area of the apartment is about 260 square meters and it has balconies with an additional area of about 240 square meters, which Kaziof used in order to create an immersive and experiential outdoor environment that serves as a garden for everything.

Another advantage is the height of the apartment - with a ceiling that rises to a height of three and a half meters, in some spaces.

"We placed the heart of the house in the center of the roof; it is all surrounded by balconies that serve as lively living areas that touch the interior spaces. We designed for them an outdoor kitchen, a wide dining area, a lounge area with spacious sofas and also a pampering stream pool built as a glass cube. It is 120 cm deep and only 40 cm" Of the external ones, the rest of the depth is assimilated into the deck floor. The balconies are surrounded by well-kept vegetation and various tall trees, including oak trees, pomegranate trees and weeping pepper trees, which together create a feeling of a villa on the roof, really a feeling of a private house."

The front door is an integral part of the entrance hall and its quality is emphasized with dramatic paneling.

Its height is about 3.2 meters and it was designed at zero line with the plane of the wall.

"I designed the entrance wall to the house as a strength wall which I covered with a special veneer," says Kazioff.

"Its dividing lines become a unique niche in which I installed vertical LED lighting and later the front door was revealed."

The apartment is divided into a public area and a private area, and the separation between these two arenas was made by means of two pocket doors that completely disappear when they are open to the maximum, and different floorings - the public area is paved with ceramic stone and the private area with wooden parquet in a fishbone pattern.

Kazioff harnessed the high ceilings in the apartment to create a spacious space that conveys a luxurious feeling similar to a private home.

Even in the areas where the lows were designed for the air conditioning system, the height of the walls remained 3.2 m.

In combination with the plaster ceilings that give a clean look.

"The living room and kitchen were designed in front of the spacious display cases through which they go out to the balcony, in order to strengthen the connection between the outside and the inside and to bring as much air and natural light into the spaces as possible. To achieve this, we decided to increase the length of the new display case. The one we received before the renovation was about 4 meters, and the new one spans no less than 14 meters," Kazioff says.

"The kitchen was designed in light colors that contribute greatly to the clean look we wanted to create. The white surfaces reflect the natural light that penetrates inside in a pleasant and soft way from the windows around the kitchen. The power wall in the living room was designed as a custom made carpentry unit in which we created disconnections between wood slices and brass strips. The oak wood panels were produced using a cutting technique They continue at equal intervals that connect to metal shelves in the entrance niche to the house and create a sense of continuity. Meanwhile, from the very beginning of the planning process it was important to the owner of the house to give her collection of porcelain dancers a corner of honor. In the design of the dining area niche, it was decided to integrate the spectacular collection and it fits harmoniously as an integral part of the public space ".

The guest toilets were carefully designed and covered with Sitzze tiles in a dark and classic shade to which we matched bright elements that give the space an elegant atmosphere and a sense of cleanliness.

In the private wing, an enveloping and cozy family room, a pampering master suite and spacious and bright rooms for the girls were designed according to their needs and tastes.

"The couple's master bedroom was designed as a luxurious space. We designed for them a set of wardrobes lined with soft leather with stitching, just like a designer bag. In the center of the bedroom is a luxurious bed big enough for the whole family to cuddle up in. In the suite itself, we integrated a beautiful make-up corner that serves as a decorative piece Mainly. The owner of the house doesn't wear makeup at all, but when we were choosing furniture for the house, we just fell in love with her. She serves as a coquettish accessory that blends wonderfully into the design of the space."

From the master bedroom, a frosted glass door opens that hides the contents of the room and leads directly to the couple's luxurious and luxurious bathroom.

"Covering the glass walls of the sitches produce a reflection of light, so the mosaic changes its color in relation to the intensity of the light that hits it at any given moment. In the morning it is brighter and happier and in the evening more dramatic. The glass tiles are put together like a puzzle that creates a charming floral pattern. We designed a large and spacious shower for them and A free standing bathtub next to the bathtub cabinet," explains the designer.

"The girls' bathroom is paved with pinkish and shiny flooring, and it also has a shower and bathtub designed to serve the girls of different ages functionally. We designed this space with a refreshing and youthful line adapted to young ages and will be suitable for them years to come - both in appearance and in scale."
