An incident occurred on an S-Bahn in Frankfurt.
A man pulled out a knife and the police had to shoot him.
Frankfurt am Main – According to the Frankfurt police, there was an incident in the Gateway Gardens S-Bahn station on Wednesday evening.
Police officers used their firearms and shot a man.
The attacker was injured, said a police spokesman.
No details were given about the severity of the man's injuries.

According to a spokesman for the Frankfurt police, the man attacked another passenger with a knife on the S-Bahn.
The victim was injured in the attack.
The police then intervened and overpowered the perpetrator.
After the incident, the station was cordoned off.

, the stabber is said to have been advised of the mask requirement by employees of Deutsche Bahn.
Then he suddenly pulled out a knife and was only stopped by a police officer's shot, which hit him in the thigh.
The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) has meanwhile stated that there are partial cancellations and delays on the route due to a police operation in the Gateway Gardens area.
The S8 runs via the airport long-distance train station.
The S9 line will be diverted to Raunheim, according to the RMV.
