The municipality of Neuching is offering an area in the Lüßwiesen commercial area for containers to accommodate refugees.
Neuching
– Neuching has not yet accepted any refugees in community facilities – as one of only a few communities in the district.
This could change soon.
The municipal council has decided to make a plot of land available for containers.
The Landratsamt Erding is currently looking for housing for refugees again.
A corresponding request from the district authority has now also reached the administration of the municipality of Neuching.
The council considered the matter on Monday evening.
The capacities in the district will soon be reached, emphasized Mayor Thomas Bartl (CSU) and painted a horror scenario: "There is probably a decision that the district office has the authority to confiscate sports halls, for example." It is essential to prevent this and try to meet the quota in some other way.
This quota is currently 43 refugees for the municipality of Neuching, and the mayor emphasized that private accommodation does not count.
The administrative staff had made a search in the run-up to the meeting.
The possible solution: The municipality could set up up to ten containers on a ten by 35 square meter plot in the Lüßwiesen industrial park, which borders directly on the neighboring municipality of Finsing.
Until recently, commercial areas were not suitable for accommodation.
a change in the law now allows this.
Big advantage: The property found offers the required electricity and water connections - all the solutions examined so far have failed because of this.
The nearest bus stop is also not far away.
Bartl: "With the provision, we would be prepared if something comes from the district office." In addition, the community is also making a certain solidarity contribution, he added.
Markus Hermansdorfer (WGN) wanted to know exactly "what you get on the property".
The head of the building authority, Erhard Huber, explained that only four of the ten meters wide remained because of the necessary clearances.
There is therefore only enough space for five containers in a row, but a two-storey solution is possible.
Otto Hainz saw the whole thing as a good solution: "In my opinion, public transport is very important, and there is an hourly bus connection there." You don't even have that in Neuching itself. The SPD Council saw another in the accommodation in the industrial park Advantage: "Maybe some of the refugees will even find jobs in the surrounding companies."
Martin Bichlmaier (SPD) also judged the proposed solution to be fundamentally good: “We just don’t have any suitable real estate.
If it is allowed in commercial areas, then we should do it there.” All the committee members saw it that way and decided unanimously that the municipality of Neuching would provide the property in the commercial area as a solution for refugee accommodation.
