Rehabilitation of 32 bakeries damaged by terrorism in Aleppo

The director of the branch of the Syrian Foundation for Bakeries in Aleppo, Eng. Jamil Shashaa, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that during the year 2022, two bakeries were opened, the first in the town of Tal Hadya in the southern countryside, and the second in the Ramouseh neighborhood, west of Aleppo, to serve the people with a daily production capacity of 12 tons of bread, indicating that there are A plan is currently being implemented by re-expanding the Amiri bakery in Al-Sakhour neighborhood, which operates with two production lines with a production capacity of 12 tons of bread per day, and preparing it for the installation of a third line for production, so that the full production capacity of the bakery becomes 36 tons per day, to serve the neighborhoods of Al-Sakhour, the city of Hanano and Al-Haydaria, and the bakery of the town of Deir Jamal has also been rehabilitated Northwest of Aleppo, and work is currently underway to rehabilitate the automated lines of the bakery in the town of Fajdan in the southern countryside.

And Shashaa indicated that work is underway to expand the sales outlets for bread, as kiosks have been equipped to sell bread, and two of them will be placed to serve the citizen in the old Al-Suryan neighborhood and the Bab Jenin area in the city center. Syrian Trade to open outlets selling bread in it to reduce the burden on citizens by obtaining the material.

He pointed out that the Foundation is in the process of rehabilitating the bakery in the city of Hanano, which was destroyed by terrorism, as part of next year's plan to serve Masaken Hanano all the way to Sheikh Najjar. Preparations are also under way to rehabilitate Al-Razi Bakery, whose production lines have become old, in addition to preparing studies to conduct expansions in a number of bakeries in Countryside and city.

SANA's camera toured a number of bakeries and monitored the rehabilitation and production processes in them, including Qadi Askar bakery, where the head of the technical department in the General Establishment for Bakeries, Aleppo branch, Eng. Daily production of 24 tons to serve the people of Qadi Askar, Karm Al-Qaterji, Al-Nayrab and Bab Al-Hadid neighborhoods, and in 2020 it was supplied with a production line with a production capacity of 12 tons of bread per day.

And in Al-Amiri bakery in Al-Sakhour neighborhood, the bakery supervisor, Muhammad Qumaz, spoke about the start of production in the bakery in 2021 after rebuilding it and installing a production line with a daily capacity of 12 tons of bread, and after six months a second line was added and operated as well with a production capacity of 12 tons, and currently work is underway on Installing a new line and building a fire house, and then installing conveyor belts and kneaders to be put into production by the end of this year.
