Third case of choking on a donut on the holiday:
a 67-year-old man choked to death today (Wednesday) while eating a donut in Bnei Brak.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and performed CPR on him, which ultimately resulted in his death. On Tuesday, 2 men choked while eating a donut. Magan David Adom reminds that the donut dough may be dangerous for babies, children, the elderly, and people who suffer from swallowing problems. The donut must be cut into pieces small, and watch while eating.
MDA emergency medic Yoel Schechter said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the man lying unconscious while CPR was being performed on him.
We saw a piece of donut near him and told us he choked while eating it.
We continued the medical treatment and performed advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations during which we removed pieces of donut dough from his throat with the help of medical equipment.
Unfortunately, in the end we had to determine his death."
