2022-12-22T06:23:44.726Z

The young talents have succeeded in the crazy gamble of creating entertainment with the codes of music and classical dance. In this season 9, the show begins with "Le Grand Bal de Noël" on December 22 and ends with "La Grande finale" on the 29th.

Last year, "Prodigies" presented by Faustine Bollaert on France 2 brought together more than 3 million viewers in front of the victory of Simon Lopez, clarinetist.

In this season 9, the program produced by EndemolFrance retains the ingredients that made it successful.

A festive and joyful show

The scenography of “Prodiges” on the theme of Christmas and winter is magnificent.

The images circulate on the giant screens located at the back of the orchestra, along the stairs and around the stage.

Performances by fifteen young artists aged 9 to 16 accompanied by the

Divertimento symphony orchestra

by Zahia Ziouani are punctually supported by dancers from the ballet of the Winter Palace in Saint-Petersburg or Le Chœur de Paris.

Joy reigns on the set and the few tears are born of emotion.

At the presentation, Faustine Bollaert brings cheerfulness, accompanies the candidates at the beginning and end of the service, before soliciting the parents.

The jury, made up of cellist Gautier Capuçon, choreographer Marie-Claude Pietragalla and soprano Julie Fuchs, gently encourages the artists and provides technical expertise that highlights the three artistic fields of instrumental music, dance and performance. lyrical singing.

The sharing of values

Like every year, "Prodiges" welcomes young artists from all over France, from all walks of life and from various backgrounds by mixing the three artistic fields of classical music.

They study in Grand-Couronne, Cannes, Mayotte, Lyon, Tahiti, Perpignan, Pérols (Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole), Orléans or Geneva.

One of the singers with the lovely voice is even self-taught because there is no conservatory on her island.

Isabelle Ferrand, Deputy Managing Director of the National Confederation of Crédit Mutuel remembers: “Michel Eli with whom we were in partnership for the children's show

Pop et Corn

, came to introduce us to the concept of “Prodiges”.

We said banco, that interests us because it is an approach very similar to our mutualist values, namely the benevolence of a general public and family concept, transmission, integration through art and a selection of young people and territories that correspond to our areas of development.

Offering the advice of elders of great culture and total benevolence is a promising and motivating concept for young artists.

And if this can lead to other vocations, the mission is successful”.

A universal language, music has the power to unite all generations.

According to a Kantar poll dating from 2021, 70% of French people say that music occupies an important place in their daily lives;

91% believe that it has the power to unite and 92% that it provides a feeling of well-being.

This survey commissioned and renewed in 2022 remains stable.

During confinement, music thus allowed the youngest members of families to isolate themselves and take advantage of its comforting power.

In “Prodiges”, Zahia Ziouani accompanies the candidates on stage with 65 musicians from her

Divertimento

orchestra, but she does rehearsal work and gives her advice by video beforehand.

Wide audience and diversity of works

While the show “Prodiges” values work, talent and family, it remains non-elitist entertainment.

Popular with more than 3 million viewers in front of the final last year, she has made it her mission to democratize music.

Over the years, the great classical works have given way to transcriptions of music from films, songs or musicals.

Isabelle Ferrand recalls:

“We have been the bank for music and territories for 20 years.

The group is present in more than 60 festivals in France

.

Crédit Mutuel is committed to major television programs such as "

Les Victoires de la Musique

", "

Taratata 100% Live

", "

La Fête de la Musique

", the "

NRJ Music Awards

” or “

Les Enfoirés

” but also with artists like Matt Pokora, Soprano and recently Stromae.

Christelle Morisseau, in charge of the music partnership, explains:

“Our choices stop at artists and programs capable of bringing together all generations around universal values.

We trust the producers and know how to adapt.

Following her victory, we accompanied Camille Berthollet by financing the scholarship of 10,000 euros, but also by lending her a luthier's instrument because she had a problem with her violin.

Likewise, we have maintained our partnership with “Prodiges” despite the covid period”.

The "Prodigy" family

Over the years, multiple "

Prodigy

" families have been formed according to the affinities between the young artists, their artistic field, their region or their proximity to the jurors during master classes or exchanges via social networks. .

This natural emulation makes other children dream.

Each year, between 450 and 600 register for the competition.

Next year, there will certainly be more of them for the exceptional edition of the tenth season of “Prodiges”.

But Michel Eli sees bigger still since his dream is to set up a program at European level.

Italy and Spain already have their show.

Germany, a great musical country, and countries in Eastern Europe could follow.
