For the second day, the people's protests in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor continued against the practices of the (Qasd) militia associated with the American occupation, while a citizen was martyred as the militia members opened fire on the protesters.
Civil sources told SANA reporter that “the people of the towns of Al-Kasra and Al-Hussan joined the protests that started yesterday in the town of Ha’aj Al-Boumsaa, who went out with a demonstration during which they blocked the roads with burning tires and chanted slogans and slogans against the militia (Qasd) and the so-called (leader of the Deir Ezzor Military Council Ahmed Al-Khabil) affiliated with the militia. Against the backdrop of a number of his relatives and companions committing the crime of rape and murder of two displaced women in the town.”
The sources indicated that "militia gunmen fired live bullets to disperse the demonstrators, causing the death of one of them."
In response, the sources pointed out that the people “burned two cars of the (Qasd) militia near the roundabout of the town of Al-Hussan and attacked its headquarters in the town of Al-Kasra.”
