A Syrian media delegation headed by Ahmed Dhawa, Assistant Minister of Information, discussed with Muhammad Hosseini, President of the Resistance Cinema Foundation, Dr. Jalal Ghaffari, Secretary General of the Resistance Film Festival, and a number of directors, producers, and those interested in Iranian cinematic affairs, cooperation in the field of cinema, documentaries, short films, series, and dramas that reflect the common issues of the two countries. .

During the meeting, Dhawa stressed the importance of producing joint films and series that simulate the reality that Syria and the Syrian people went through during the terrorist and cosmic war that it was exposed to, whose aim was to obliterate the identity and destroy the Syrian civilization.

Dhawa said: The purposeful film industry has a major role in conveying the true picture of what is happening in Syria and the various repercussions as a result of the coercive Western measures against the Syrian people, and in the face of misleading Western media.

Dhawa reviewed aspects of joint cooperation between the Radio and Television Production Corporation and related institutions in Iran to produce joint cinematic and dramatic works and proposals for exchanging ideas on producing dramatic scenarios between the two countries, with the aim of dubbing them into Arabic and Persian to introduce the peoples of the two countries to each other's civilization, culture and issues.

For his part, Hosseini gave a presentation on the productions of the Iranian Film Institute for the production of short, long and documentaries, especially in the field of resistance, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' institutions concerned with joint cinematic and dramatic production, and invited Syrian artists to participate in the Resistance Film Festival that will be held in Tehran next year.

During the meeting, they discussed possible areas of cooperation in the field of film production, where several proposals were presented in this regard, to be put into practice as soon as possible.

The media delegation visited the Iranian cinematic city, in which many Iranian films and series were filmed and produced. They also visited the Documentary Research Center, and were briefed on the work of the center, its contents of documents, and methods of archiving and converting them into digital and digital content.
