After divorce from Mats: Cathy Hummels leaves Germany

On Monday (December 19), Cathy and Mats Hummels divorced at the Munich District Court.

Immediately afterwards, the mother of son Ludwig announced that she would be leaving Germany.

Munich – Just a few weeks ago, Cathy Hummels (34), who was born in Dachau, confirmed the separation from husband and professional footballer Mats Hummels (34).

The couple met in Munich in 2007 when Mats was playing for Bayern Munich.

In 2015 the couple married.

Now the divorce followed.

"I thought long and hard about when and if I should say something publicly about the breakup.

Now it feels right and the time has come," said the 34-year-old when asked by the German Press Agency.

On Monday morning, the Hummels met in front of the district court in Munich.

Mats was about 10 minutes late.

After the divorce date, both were forgiving, also for son Ludwig (4).

After the divorce date, Cathy Fischer, as her maiden name is, and Mats Hummels went to Munich for breakfast.

"We had 13 wonderful years," says Cathy Hummels.

Cathy Hummels will leave Germany after the divorce.

On Instagram, the 34-year-old presenter of "Battle of the Reality Stars" assured that she would leave Germany.

Initially only for two months.

"Now a new chapter in my life is beginning and I'm going to say goodbye to Germany for 2 months," says Cathy Hummels.

Even as a young girl, the former “ProSieben” reporter was an exchange student and cheerleader in the USA.

A break in America would be conceivable.

There is a lot of respect from friends and fans for the decision to officially and peacefully separate.

"It's wonderful that you two can do it that way.

My respect 🌷❤️," commented moderator Marijke Amado under Cathy Hummels' post.

Cathy Hummels no longer wants a German man

Cathy Hummels and Mats Hummels go their separate ways from now on.

In her documentary "Everything at the beginning" she wants to fall in love again.

But she can no longer imagine a German man as a partner.
