The suspect, ex-companion of Chloé, has no less than 14 mentions in his criminal record. The victim is always between life and death.

The man indicted for attempted murder of his former companion, Tuesday, December 13 in Blois (Loir-et-Cher), is known to justice.

This 27-year-old man of Martinican origin, currently in pre-trial detention, has no fewer than 14 entries in his criminal record.

Marvin J. has already been convicted of violence, including domestic violence, learned

Le Figaro

from sources familiar with the matter, confirming information from Le

Parisien

.

On August 3, 2015, he was sentenced by the Évry criminal court to a four-month suspended prison sentence for having assaulted his ex-partner.

A few days earlier, on July 10 in Athis-Mons (Essonne), he had kicked him in the ribs, pulled his hair and threw his mobile phone in his face.

Two years later, in 2017, Marvin J. was sentenced by the Versailles judicial court to eight months in prison for violence committed in the RER C. He was also known to justice for violations of the legislation on narcotics, according to the Blois prosecutor's office.

A violent attack on the background of separation

Tuesday, December 13, the Blois police discovered a 24-year-old young woman, Chloé, in a pool of blood in the hall of a building in the town.

Unconscious and seriously injured in the head, the victim suffered from severe craniofacial trauma with cerebral hemorrhagic lesions.

The Blois prosecutor's office specified last week that his vital prognosis was engaged and that his neurological prognosis was "

gloomy

".

Chloe is still in a coma.

The main suspect, Marvin J., was arrested Thursday, December 15 in the early morning in Plaisir (Yvelines) by the judicial police of Tours.

During his hearing, he indicated that his relationship with Chloé began in August 2022 and that she had decided to end it in early December.

Victim of violence, threats and harassment, the young woman had prepared a file in order to file a complaint.

She had also changed phones on December 9 to put an end to the actions of her former companion.

She had also recently had an abortion.

In police custody, the suspect told investigators that he wanted "to

have explanations, in particular about the breakup, the loss of the child and the publication of a photo on social networks

".

According to the Blois prosecutor's office, he admitted to having violently pulled his former companion back towards the entrance hall, knocking her to the ground, then kicking her several times in the head.

Following the breakup and abortion, the suspect said he was '

in the spirit you hurt me I'm hurting you

' and that '

fucked up for fucked up

' he had '

twisted

".

He nevertheless denied having intended to kill his former partner.

According to our information, confirming that of TF1, the suspect had converted to Islam and had asked Chloé to do the same.

This case also sparks controversy over the treatment of violence against women.

On the day of the assault, the young woman had indeed presented herself at the Blois police station around 5 p.m. to file a complaint against her former companion.

But a civil servant, a major, had invited her to come back the next day.

On the phone, the mother of the young woman even begged the agent to take the complaint.

In vain.

The policeman in question was suspended as a precaution.

He would have already been sanctioned with a warning in August 2022 for having "

lack of diligence

" following "

a call to 17 after a brawl

", indicates a police source to AFP.
