Giovanni Carbone, the 39-year-old originally from Matera, who killed his partner Eliana Maiori Caratella (41) last Monday in Miglianico (Chieti), committed suicide in Lanciano prison.
This is confirmed by health and prison sources.
The man killed the woman with a gunshot to the head and then turned himself in to the police.
His detention had been validated today by the investigating judge of the Court of Chieti, Luca De Ninis.
