The fire alarm of a department store was triggered in Freising's old town.
However, the many emergency services that rushed to the scene were able to quickly give the all-clear.
Freising
– Countless rescue service, fire brigade and police vehicles lined Untere Hauptstraße in Freising on Thursday around 3 p.m.
The reason: Not far from Marienplatz, in the Woolworth department store, the fire alarm had been triggered.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
However, the helpers from the volunteer fire brigade were able to quickly give the all-clear: As city fire inspector Oliver Sturde reports, the ballast of a ceiling light on the upper floor had started to smolder.
That's why there was "diffuse smoke," as Sturde explained.
First a fire alarm at Woolworth in Freising, then a basement fire on Tuchinger Strasse
After the floor had been ventilated, the rescue workers were able to move away again.
However, some of Florian's disciples did not go straight home: The next assignment was due to a cellar fire on Tuchinger Straße.
But everything went smoothly there too.
The fire was quickly extinguished (
