A 40-year-old man was sentenced to prison for refusing to comply having endangered police officers in Agde (Hérault), one of whom had used his weapon without causing any injuries, said Thursday the wooden floor.
On December 9, police officers from the Agde police station tried to control a vehicle with two men on board, but the driver fled at high speed, the Béziers prosecutor said in a statement.

having panicked because he knew he was in default of license and insurance
".
He had already been convicted 21 times between 2001 and 2022, in particular for "
acts of theft and violence as well as numerous traffic offenses
".
On December 14, the Béziers criminal court sentenced him immediately to three years' imprisonment as well as the revocation of a six-month suspended sentence of a previous conviction, with continued detention, for "
a refusal to comply directly exposing police officers to the risk of death or permanent disability
", specifies the prosecution.
For his part, the passenger was quickly cleared.
