A wristwatch with a financial value approaching half a million dollars was recovered last week from a boat that sank in the Sea of Galilee a month ago, divers managed to find the valuable watch and returned it to its owner.
The clock continued to work and was not damaged for a month at a depth of five meters below the surface of the Sea of Galilee.
The boat, on the other hand, was recovered from the bottom of the sea when it was completely destroyed and could no longer be sailed.
The incident happened on November 23 - a boat with six people on it sank off Ginoser Beach in the northwest of the Sea of Galilee.
The six, residents of the center of the country who went sailing, called the police and reported that they were in distress, and that a lot of water had penetrated into the boat, which was far from the shore.
worth more than NIS 1.6 million.

Policemen Nissim Ifergan and Goshan Garhad set out in the direction of the vacationers on a boat of the maritime police under the command of Walid Othman, and on the way instructed the six to put on life jackets and wait in the stern of the boat.
The police arrived after eight minutes and put them on the police boat.
At this point, the vacationers' boat was mostly submerged in water, and it was impossible to prevent it from sinking to the bottom.
One of the people on the boat was wearing a valuable watch from the prestigious Swiss brand Richard Mille.
The price of the watches from this brand ranges from 60 thousand to a million dollars.
The owner of the watch took it off during the voyage and put it in the cabin on the boat.
After the boat sank, searches were made for the valuable item, without success.
One of the reasons for this is that at this depth the water is cloudy and you can see almost nothing.
Last week two divers from Tiberias managed to find the watch and returned it to its owner.
According to them, the owner of the watch will not compensate them for the loss of Shabbat, which is worth over NIS 1.6 million.
