The IDF transferred thousands of reservists tonight (Thursday) by mistake, following a malfunction in an automatic dialer. The announcements in the late hours of the night created a panic and at this stage it is still unclear whether this is a technical malfunction, human error or a cyber attack.
This is a computerized system into which lists of names of units are entered in an emergency and jump them through voice messages and messages. According to the messages, the soldiers are supposed to arrive at pre-defined geographical points to receive military equipment.

An IDF spokesperson said: "As a result of a malfunction in the dialer system, calls were made to reservists during the night.
The problem has been taken care of and there is no fear of damage to competence."
