Latakia - SANA
The Committee for Organizing Joint Passenger Transport in the direct governorate of Lattakia approved the application of the tracking system to the 510 service cars operating on the Lattakia-Jableh and Qardaha lines, and determining their route starting next week.
A member of the executive office for the transportation sector, Duraid Markoush, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the punishment was carried out against about 18 servers who have not yet committed to installing the device, indicating that the committee asked the executing company to expedite the installation and increase the number of services performed daily.
Martakoush affirmed the governorate's readiness to equip its centers in Jableh, Al-Haffah and Al-Qardaha to facilitate its work and simplify procedures for service owners, pointing to the continuation of installing the devices during the Christmas and New Year's holidays, as the operating services in the governorate were divided into 8 groups.
Murtkoush indicated that the tracking system will be applied immediately after the holiday on the services within the second group, and it includes the Northern Ring lines, Al-Mushairfa, Baksa, Saqubin, Sanjwan and Basnada, on which about 485 services are working, with the completion of the services that serve the Al-Haffa and Slenfah lines, most of which have been installed.
Murtkoush explained that a committee was formed to draw the routes of the lines, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, and to check the mechanisms, the size of their engines and their fuel consumption to determine the amount of fuel needed for each line according to the route specified for it, taking into account some observations from the drivers related to their places of residence, labor insurance contracts and other sectors.
