Al-Hasakah - SANA
Today, the Qamishli City Council in Al-Hasakah Governorate implemented an afforestation campaign, which included planting 100 trees in a number of road medians, in celebration of the Tree Festival and increasing green spaces within the city.
The head of the city council, Eng. Suhail Rahawi, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that 100 trees were planted in the middle of Al-Quwatli Street as part of a campaign carried out by the council, pointing to the importance of planting trees as it is a symbol of giving and goodness and a guide to civilization.
