On the night between Monday and Tuesday, a Syrian military source reported that two soldiers from Assad's army were injured in an Israeli attack on targets in the Damascus area.
Media outlets in the Syrian opposition claimed that positions of Iranian and Hezbollah militias were attacked, including a military depot in agricultural land. According to these reports, three people with non-Syrian citizenships, who worked with Hezbollah, were also killed in the attack.
The Al-Arabiya network reported at the time that the attack followed the shipment of Iranian weapons to the Damascus airport, and also targeted a recently deployed Iranian anti-aircraft battery.
