The undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maximiliano Reyes Zúñiga, explains "the real situation" after the arrival in Mexico of Lilia Paredes, wife of the former president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, and their two children, protected by the figure of political asylum.
Her arrival occurs after the Peruvian Foreign Ministry declared the Mexican ambassador in that country persona "non grata", arguing the interference of the Mexican authorities in the affairs of Peru.
