According to the authorities, the two pharmaceutical products contain "sildenafil" and "dapoxetine", which are used to treat impotence and premature ejaculation respectively. They must be used under the instruction of a doctor, and can only be purchased in pharmacies with a doctor's prescription under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
The authorities also added that the improper use of "sildenafil" may pose serious health risks, especially for patients with heart problems; while the side effects of "dapoxetine" include anxiety, fatigue, loss of concentration, dizziness, nausea and headache.
The authorities strongly urge members of the public not to buy or consume products with unknown ingredients or sources. People who have purchased related products should stop using them immediately. If in doubt or feel unwell after use, they should consult medical staff.

According to the Department of Health, according to intelligence, samples of the above two products were purchased through an online sales platform for laboratory testing. A spokesman for the Department of Health strongly appeals to members of the public not to buy or consume products with unknown ingredients or origins. Those who have purchased related products should stop using them immediately. If in doubt or feel unwell after use, they should consult medical professionals.
Members of the public can submit the relevant products to the Drug Office of the Department of Health at Room 1801, Wu Chung Building, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai during office hours for disposal.
The authorities reminded that according to relevant regulations, all pharmaceutical products must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong before they can be sold in the market.
Illegal sale or possession of unregistered pharmaceutical products or Part 1 poisons is a criminal offence. The maximum penalty for each offense is a fine of $100,000 and two years' imprisonment.
