The public applauded with a very particular fervor this Wednesday evening the first performance of
Giselle
at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
Even if the act of the shadows is moving, the ovations did not resonate like those which one releases to salute the level of a performance.
The audience was standing in a way of a guard of honour.

The dancers had given their all.
Everything, that is to say what they have in their hearts.
Their timidity to find a "normal" scene - what's more in Paris, the world capital of dance - after a year of war and the doubt of not being able to make their dance as vibrant as before.
Their fatigue which finally lets go after the fear and the cold which stiffen the body.
