A fatal accident in Munich used a Twitter user to publish a questionable post.

The police reacted clearly.

Munich – The Munich police are known for occasionally responding to a wide variety of concerns via Twitter.

The officials recently reprimanded a Munich resident who had observed a supposedly intolerable traffic situation in the city center.

Now, however, the police were obviously forced to adopt a much rougher tone.

The reason: A user's contribution in relation to a fatal accident in Munich.

Fatal accident in Munich – the police are outraged by the tasteless tweet

Background: User "Roland Rides"

(Twitter name, d. Red)

is committed to Twitter for the bicycle community in the city.

If you search through his profile, you will find numerous articles in which the predicament of cyclists is shown, as well as many articles that aim to improve the cycling situation in the city.

However, the user recently shared an article from our portal about a fatal accident in Munich.

On a traffic island, a man with his BMW collided with a concrete wall at high speed and lost his life.

Roland Rides shared the article with the words "FINALLY!"

It is not entirely clear why the user chose these words.

Presumably, however, since BMW drivers have a reputation for making life difficult for cyclists.

"Finally!" - Munich uses fatal accident for questionable contribution

However, the Munich police did not just leave it that way.

"It's unbelievable how irreverently you represent your opinion here," the officials begin their statement.

“A person died here.

The tweet takes away any seriousness and confirms the image that we now have of you.

They inevitably damage the reputation of the bicycle community.” The reaction below the post, which has since been deleted, garnered a total of 178 likes because “Roland Rides” probably realized how inappropriate the post was.

Advocating for a better situation for cyclists is of course important and right, but the police show in this example that this cannot be done by any means.
