The International Department of the State Attorney's Office announced today (Friday) that the Bosnian Minister of Justice ordered the extradition of Mike Ben Ari to Israel.
As you may remember, about six months ago the state attorney's office submitted an extradition request to the authorities in Bosnia.
The court in Bosnia granted the request and determined that Mike Ben Ari is extraditable to Israel.
Ben Ari appealed the decision to the court, which rejected his appeal today.
As part of the extradition request, the prosecutor's office requested that Ben Ari be prosecuted for fraud.
As a reminder, Ben Ari, the CEO of EGFE, is suspected of defrauding about a thousand investors to the tune of 60 million dollars in the so-called "Israeli Madoff" affair. About a year and a half ago, Ben Ari fled the country using a fake passport of his friend.
