Resentment in the designated ruling party:
opinions in Likud on the coalition agreements are divided.
Some Likud members claim that the coalition partners were given far-reaching conditions and benefits, and some claim that the Likud still has powers and mainly significant cases.
One of the members of the Likud Knesset tells Israel Hayom: "It wasn't a negotiation, it was a compromise. We have a sour feeling. Our partners left with all their greed, they got important files and the files that remained with us were brutally bitten.
Lapid: "The government is dangerous, extreme, irresponsible - it will end badly" // Moshe Ben Simhon
"For example: the security portfolio is with us, but Smotrich also has a minister there. The education portfolio is with us, but entire wings and parts of it went into partnership, the justice portfolio remained - the Law and Constitution Committee went to religious Zionism. In the big picture, there is discomfort and everyone feels it."
According to him, "the partnership received the cases that really affect everyday life. The foreign security or legal cases do not affect the everyday life of the ordinary citizen. The health, housing and welfare cases do. And the cases that have an effect were transferred to the partnership - that's a problem."
On the other side, there are MKs who say that this time Likud has a good amount of cases left. "There were years when after coalition negotiations we were left with nothing," says a party MK.
"This time we were left with 17 ministers, including senior positions. We were left with the foreign affairs and defense portfolios. In the medium-sized portfolios there are significant portfolios such as transportation, justice, education and more. Add to that tourism, energy, culture and sports as well as the speaker of the Knesset, and you can say that there is Quite a few things that remained in Likud.
The problem with us is that there are many people who consider themselves senior and there are many demanding senior positions.
The five before the primaries consider themselves senior, the current five consider themselves senior and there are not enough senior positions for everyone."
