A 27-year-old man was shot to death tonight (Saturday) in the Ra'im parking lot in the Gaza Strip.
MDA medics and paramedics with the assistance of an IDF medical force arrived at the scene of the incident and determined the death of the young man, a resident of the Bedouin diaspora, and provided medical treatment to a 23-year-old young man, who was also wounded by a gunshot.
The police arrived at the scene and started an investigation.
The 23-year-old injured man received medical treatment and was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, in moderate condition and fully conscious.
Police officers who were called to the scene began scanning and collecting evidence, in search of the shooters.
The deputy commander of the Negev region, Chief of Staff Eyal Azoulai, also arrived at the scene. Apparently, the background to the murder is a conflict between clans.
MDA paramedics, Raphael Herbst and Danny Shtrkman, who were called to the incident, said they saw the 27-year-old lying on the road, near the entrance to the kibbutz. "His condition was critical, after CPR we had to pronounce him dead," they said. Fully conscious and suffering from penetrating injuries, after life-saving medical treatment in the field, we evacuated him to the hospital where his condition is moderate and stable."
