Summary.
On August 23, 1971, 21-month-old Melissa disappeared in Fort Worth, Texas after being placed with a new babysitter.
Her mother, Alta, reports her kidnapping to the police, and the whole town is worried: where is "baby Melissa?"
»
For more than 50 years, Alta, her husband Jeffrie and their 4 children search for Melissa, but the false leads multiply.
And then in November 2022, on a genetic analysis site, they come across a woman who shares their DNA.
Her name is Melanie Walden.
They contact her, and on November 26, it is confirmed: Melanie is indeed Melissa Highsmith.
She then meets her biological father and mother, but also the rest of the family.
Ariane Riou, journalist at the Récits du Parisien cell, tells the story of this family who never lost hope at the microphone of Code Source.
