After three years of training: 41 trainees will complete the pilot course number 185 | Israel today

39 men and two women will stand on the parade ground at Hatzeri Base and receive their flight wings • Later they will join the various squadrons and lead the operational activities of the Air Force in the following years • The ceremony was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force's southern bases and will be attended by the President of the State, the Prime Minister, Minister Defense and the Chief of Staff 


After three years of training, 41 apprentices and trainees will graduate on Wednesday next week from the pilot course number 185. The graduation ceremony will be held at the Air Force House in the courtyards and flight wings will be awarded to the graduates. 

39 boys and two women will stand on the parade ground when they receive their flight wings.

The male and female graduates will complete the pilot course at the end of a three-year professional training at the flight school, at the end of which they will join the various squadrons and lead the operational activities of the Air Force in the years to come.

The ceremony will be held in the presence of the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the Air Force, other commanders and the families of the graduates.

The current ceremony was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force's southern bases.

The southern bases are a central part of the Corps' activities and the development of the Negev.

"Establishing these bases is a significant milestone in the Air Force that contributes to maintaining the security of the country and the development of the IDF in this sector.

The bases in the south are decisive and operational bases, which are on operational alert 24/7 and maintain operational continuity in defense and attack, in order to respond to a variety of scenarios and protect the skies of the country and its residents, in routine and emergency situations," said an IDF spokesperson.
