King Charles only in 2nd place: These royals worked the hardest in 2022

Whoever is in the limelight is not automatically the most diligent.
Prince William, Kate or King Charles III did not work the most in 2022.
London - crown, princess dresses, castles, simply a life in the lap of luxury - that's probably what many a child and one or the other adult dreams of.
But being a member of a royal family isn't just about glamor and glitz, it's also about hard work.
Countless appointments are made over the course of a year and must be attended to by various royals in the service of the crown.
The hardest working royals in 2022 – these are the top 3
The Court Circular lists each year which members of the British royal family have taken on how many commitments.
In 2022, the leader will have an impressive 214 appointments.
As in the previous year, it is Princess Anne who takes first place in the ranking.
At the proud age of 72, she rushes from appointment to appointment, in July alone she was on duty 24 times.
The younger sister of King Charles III has always been considered.

Behind Princess Anne is her brother King Charles III, for whom it has been an eventful year in every respect.
On September 8, 2022, his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 96, making Charles the new king.
Despite the new task, Charles made 181 royal engagements this year.
The podium completes Charles' and Anne's youngest brother Edward (58).
Prince Edward traveled 143 times in the service of the Crown in 2022.
The Court Circular
The Court Circular is the name of the official record listing the commitments made by members of the British royal family each year.
The list is published by St James Palace and printed on the back cover of various UK newspapers.

Fourth place among the royals who worked the hardest in 2022 goes to Prince Edward's wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex (57), with 138 appointments she is only just behind her husband.
Prince William (40), who made 126 appointments this year, only appears in fifth place.
Queen Consort Camilla (75) was busy with 102 royal commitments and ranks behind her stepson, in seventh place appears Richard, the Duke of Gloucester (78), who has 100 appointments.

The Duke of Gloucester is followed in eighth place by his wife Birgitte (76).
Princess Kate (40) is only listed in ninth place, she has fulfilled her royal duty 90 times.
As the mother of George (9), Charlotte (7) and Louis (4), Kate also has her hands full in her private life.
Rounding out the list is Edward, the Duke of Kent, who at 87 is also the oldest member of the British royal family to make the top ten.
Despite his old age, the Duke of Kent still has 78 appointments in 2022.
