There are obvious facts that it is good to remember sometimes.
This is what Emmanuel Macron did during the advisers' seminar on Friday December 16 at the Élysée.
The first such meeting since 2017, its objective was to remobilize the troops working for the President of the Republic.
Emmanuel Macron had said that he wanted, for the Élysée, to change the method.
Some 80 advisers therefore met between the semi-final and the final of the Football World Cup for, according to one of the participants,
"free exchanges".
The Head of State therefore took advantage of this exchange to recall the obvious:
"Whatever happens, I will not be a candidate in 2027."
But it was more to put this presidential deadline into perspective:
"I twice defeated the National Rally.
