Many Sparkasse customers knew Martina Haake.

As a customer advisor at the bank, she worked in many municipalities in the Munich district.

Now the determined power woman has died at the age of only 47.

When Martina Haake tackles something, she does it right.

"She was a believer in everything she did," says her husband Stefan Haake.

She left nothing to chance in both her private and professional life, which also gave her security.

Preparation, according to her motto, is everything: Whether it was preparing for a holiday (“Our longing place was Cuxhaven on the North Sea, just like Vienna.”) or a career: determination and good planning were the be-all and end-all for Martina Haake.

Married just six years ago

Family and collegiality at work were important to her, also because she knew that without team spirit, it doesn't work.

However, she kept her professional and private life strictly separate.

She always recorded her thoughts and ideas in two notebooks, a black one for at home and a little red book for her work at Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg (KSK), where she has spent her entire professional life and has been the manager of the online branch since 2016 had been.

Six years ago, on World Savings Day, she married her Stefan.

Martina Haake's professional career has been one thing above all: straight and undeterred.

1992 training at KSK, from 1998 private customer advisor in Ottobrunn.

Further positions followed, such as wealth customer advisor in Neubiberg, and later she worked as deputy manager of the wealth customer center of the district savings bank in Feldkirchen, Ismaning and Unterschleißheim.

Commitment to Jewish and cultural organizations

The affinity to the financial sector was one side of Martina Haakes.

She, who last lived with her husband in Karlsfeld near Munich, was involved in her free time with her husband in charitable Jewish and cultural organizations, without ever making a big deal of it.

In addition, she was extremely humorous and "extremely educated", says Stefan Haake, "she read a lot, non-fiction as well as fantastic novels".

She saw a thirst for knowledge and a thirst for life as two natural sides of the same coin.

She was taken from life much too early and leaves a big void.
